XBOX Live support for Daddy XBOX cut

by MDF on Feb.05, 2010, under News

"The End"

I think you knew deep down that someday soon this would happen…” Said XBOX Live to Daddy XBOX. They were sat at a table in a cold, concrete room with fluorescent lighting.

Daddy XBOX just sat there… looking down. Quietly contemplating a response, but knew it was the wrong thing to do. About 20 seconds pass by… the silence getting louder as every second passed by.

Daddy XBOX: “… so, when

XBOX Live (immediately cuts in): “April 15th.

Daddy XBOX: “…”

Daddy XBOX starts walking to the door… slowly, with his head down. Just as he opens the door…

XBOX Live: “Listen, wait! …

Daddy XBOX pauses, still with his head down and his hand on the door handle.

XBOX Live: “You’ve had a good run. An amazing 8 year run… you showed the world just what can be achieved with online gaming on the home console. You paved the way for MILLIONS of happy gamers getting online… and you have set the standard forever. Your legacy is only going to get greater as time goes on. You should be proud of yourself…

Daddy XBOX stays silent for a few seconds… thinking…. then continues opening the door to leave. Just as he turns around to close the door completely, he lifts his head up and smiles at XBOX Live.

The door closes.

X is back: 4 hours of Bring It

by MDF on Feb.01, 2010, under News

"X: I'm BACK baby!"

It’s been a while since the last (non-Canadian) one, but X is back… and I’m sure it’s back for a damn good reason. Hot on the heals of our last article about the Zune uprising, I predict that this year’s “X” will bring playable Natal games, just games, and hopefully some information on my own prediction of the Zune service slowly taking over. Sony Summed Up in One Video – Stupid F**king Piece of Shit

by MDF on Feb.10, 2009, under News

One of my good friends has taken the time to send me a look, to what appears to be Sony summed up in 2 minutes and 31 seconds.

The Onion have created this video for your viewing pleasure – and even Sony lovers and product owners agree, this video has some, if not a lot, if not complete validity to the message it’s getting across here.

Thanks Nadia for sending this to me!

Kaz Hirai finally starts tripping balls, doesn’t see Nintendo as competition

by MDF on Jan.22, 2009, under News

"I've smoked THIS many in the past 5 minutes!"

"I've smoked THIS many in the past 5 minutes!"

Well, fuck me.

If this doesn’t paint a picture of how bad things are over at PlayStation – nothing will. Even here at MDF we know that Nintendo, the way things are going, are unbeatable (unless Microsoft REALLY do something drastic to even the score… oh, I don’t know, say buy 51% of Nintendo). We know that no matter what anyone says, about how Nintendo are not in the same category as Microsoft and Sony in an attempt to soften the blow that the underdog became king, they’re in the same game and they’re in it to win it – like the rest of us.

XCM Cross Battle Adapter

XCM Cross Battle Adapter

If your a PlayStation 3 owner, and don’t have an XBOX 360 or used an XBOX 360 (which makes us wonder why you’re here), then the XCM Cross Battle Adapter is now giving you the chance to experience the luxury, comfort and happiness that the XBOX 360 controller has to offer. It’s hard not to agree that the XBOX 360 has had more thought crafted into it’s comfortable curves – hardcore gamers know that playing intense games for long periods of time isn’t going to give them arthritis in the long run.

Next Metal Gear Solid for iPhone – Konami Sanity Questioned

by MDF on Dec.18, 2008, under News

Next Metal Gear

If you have not heard the news by now – Konami recently released a teaser website showing the above image.  Most of you will immediately associate the next Metal Gear Solid, from the picture above, with the XBOX 360. The reasons are obvious – the familiar XBOX color tone. The power button symbol that is similar to the XBOX 360 power symbol (no matter how “generic” this symbol is), the bigger XBOX 360 install base, and the popularity of the Konami IP make the XBOX 360 the obvious choice for the next release – in both financial terms for Konami, and for the hardcore gaming fans.

XBOX 360 leads PS3 by 1 Million Units in Europe

by MDF on Dec.17, 2008, under News

xbox-360-elite-xbox-360

Amazing. Once again, the XBOX  360 shows no sign of slowing down. The PlayStation 3 trails behind the Microsoft juggernaught by a staggering ONE MILLION units. The well planned price cut that has recently taken place has enabled more people to enjoy the multimedia mammoth. Don’t be fooled by websites attempting to dumb down this fantastic news by stating that the XBOX 360 has had a year lead over the PlayStation 3 – numbers are numbers. This news, released by GfK Chart-Track, was given out not too long after Sony attempted to fool their followers once again by stating that they had an “overall lead in PAL territories”. A pathetic move. Desperate times call for desperate measures it seems.

We will be following sales numbers closely, especially as we now enter the holiday period.
